2012 has been an exciting year for me blog wise. Although I have been a blogger in some shape or for for the past 4 our so years, this year things really came together. I started thinking of my blog as a legitimate hoby, I 'came out' if you will, as a blogger to family and friends (my mom is certainly my biggest fan) and wrote more posts in the last 6 months than I had over the past 4 years.
Additionally, I began to really use twitter (follow me @Turner_SR) to promote my blog, drawing in more readers. And finally, this past week, I began splitting my one blog in two (which is why you are reading here at my new URL). Splitting the blog is a fresh start for me, to have both a personal and (I hesitate to use the word professional) school related blog; is a new challenge. One I certainly look forward to in the New Year, especially as an opportunity to develop my writing skills further.
I'd encourage you to follow one or both of them.

ReplyDeleteThanks! you as well and all the best in 2013!
DeleteLooks like you had a pretty good year! Love your recap.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by the Yoga Rave. When I worked at a nightclub, I would sometimes see hippy dudes randomly doing yoga at raves, but I've never heard of a Yoga Rave. Sounds like a blast (in an ancient-medicine-woman kinda way).
Happy New Year!
Yoga rave is the closest thing I can think of to call it, it was like 200 people crammed into a venue, in black lights with a dj, and it started as a traditional yoga class then got more and more crazy pants. Anyways lots of fun. Thanks for commenting.. And all the best in 2013
DeleteHappy New Year!!!! I so hope I get to visit Italy one day soon :)
ReplyDeleteIt's totally worth visiting! thanks for dropping by, and all the best in 2013!!

DeleteWhat a fantastic year! I did the very same thing with my blog. I split it into two a while back. I didn't want to write about my personal stuff on my design and business blog.
ReplyDeleteIt was a big decision to split it, especially knowing I'd be collecting all my followers again from scratch on one of them. But I like it better now! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteI've been blogging for 6 months. I've thought about splitting my blog but I'm having too much fun. I probably will in the future. Enjoy your SITS Day as you definitely know how to live life.

DeleteThat John Williams' show sounds amazing!! My husband would LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteIt was really great, I think its one that many city ochestra's do, so I would keep my eye out for it. I enjoyed it, even though I'm not typically a classical music fan! Thanks for dropping by and commenting!
